I love playing April Fools pranks on my kiddos. It’s just a good excuse to have some fun at home and give everyone a good giggle.

Of course, we only like to play pranks that don’t hurt anyone’s feelings and aren’t terribly messy or complicated.

These kids pranks are perfect for little ones and simple for mom and dad to accomplish.

11 Fun & Simple April Fools Pranks to Play On Your Kids

Fill your ice machine with jelly beans. This is so much fun! – Idea from What’s Cooking

Make “cake pops” that are really brussel sprouts on a stick covered in chocolate. I did this one last year and the kids thought it was so funny!

Freeze a bowl of cereal over night and serve it to them for breakfast. Idea from Kids Activities 

Change the language on their phone or iPad to a different one.

Put google eyes on food in the kitchen. Idea from Oh Happy Day

Put a couple of layers of bubble wrap under a rug. When they walk over it they’ll hear a fun pop! Idea from Make It Love It

Print a silhouette of a bug and tape it on the inside of your lamp shade. Looks just like a bug climbing!

Melt a candy bar and sit it on the toilet – looks just like poo!

Wrap carrots in a tootsie roll wrapper. Idea from The Decorated Cookie

If it’s not a school day, draw a black mustache on their face when they fall asleep with a Crayola washable marker.

Make these poop cookies. Watch your kids go crazy when you take a big bite! Haha! Idea from Gina Kirk
