Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

dinner time

My grill master husband made some bacon wrapped shrimp this weekend. Since I cannot stand even the smell of shrimp, I didn’t taste it, but he certainly did and says it is delicious. I trust his word.

I admit I’m no chef. I can whip up all sorts of desserts and breads and muffins but when it comes to dinner I’m just awful. My husband however can come up with new dishes and concoctions and they almost always taste incredible. His newest triumph is bacon wrapped shrimp, because when you wrap something in bacon? It’s even better.

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

This is a pretty simple recipe with only three ingredients: bacon, shrimp and BBQ sauce.

Directions

  • Coat the shrimp in BBQ sauce
  • Wrap in bacon
  • Coat in BBQ sauce again
  • Cook in the oven on high broil for about 3 minutes on each side (depending on the size of  your shrimp)

When it was done, he gave it one last coat of sauce and voila. He paired it with steak and a baked potato.

Bacon wrapped shrimp always feels like a guaranteed win—everything really is better wrapped in bacon! I love how simple this recipe is with just a few ingredients, yet it sounds full of flavor. Paired with steak and a baked potato, it makes a perfect dinner-time meal, much like the comfort appeal people enjoy from KfcMenuAustralia breakfast items.
