Birthday Scavenger Hunt

brady

I made this birthday scavenger hunt for Brady’s 4th birthday this year.  I decided to stay home from work and we would spend the day spending time together.   Since his and Paityn’s birthdays are only two weeks apart we had their party together the weekend prior.

After I finally convinced him to come to the table and try some of the pancakes I made from scratch (only because I was out of the box stuff) he found the note I left:  “Today is your birthday and we think you’re really sweet.  So follow these 5 clues to find a special birthday treat.”

I read it to him and of course he was instantly excited!  Treasure hunts are so much fun.

The first clue I handed him led him to the kitchen sink and from there we went all around the house and finally into the laundry room where his present was waiting for him on top of the dryer with a note.

  1. Since you just had breakfast, let’s go get a drink.  Your next clue will be waiting in the sink.
  2. I wonder where your next clue is, let’s go and take a look.  I think it might be hiding inside your favorite book.
  3. You did it!  You found the clue!  The next one might be hiding inside your tennis shoes.
  4. Wow!  You’re really good at this, so here’s a harder one.  This clue is waiting in the place that you have fun.
  5. Time to get your present.  Ok, here we go.  It’s patiently waiting for you where we dry our clothes.
  6. Here is your birthday gift.  Hope it packs a punch.  Have a fantastic birthday – we love you oh so much.

I loved adding a little something extra to his gift.  I want my kids to always remember their birthdays as special days where we celebrated their life and how happy we are they’re here.

We love scavenger hunts! My older children now make them up for their younger siblings on birthdays,or Christmas morning, we’ve had them on Easter Sunday and while camping too. The possibilities are endless – thanks so much for sharing your ideas, I’ll be using these for our next birthday boy!

    Thanks for the inspiration.

I am doing this for my son. He’ll be 4 in less than a month. Seeing as we are limited in space (no garden), I am customising the hunt to the apartment and mailbox downstairs as final note (gives dad enough time to setout his presents).
I know he’ll love and I can’t wait to see him following clues.

He loves treasure maps so right up his alley!

    Such a great idea!!!!

Quarterback questions abound: The Colts are set under center with the ascendant Andrew Luck, but Houston, Jacksonville and Tennessee are in flux at the position.

Thank you for this! Found it on Pinterest when I was looking for some ideas on how to celebrate my daughter’s birthday while being at home during the COVID-19 outbreak. My 9-year-old loved it and it added a special touch to her birthday. It will definitely become a birthday tradition!

As a student, I was unsure about using edu birdie, so I checked out the thread “Is EduBirdie Legit?”. The reviews gave me a clear idea of what to expect, and I decided to try the service. I was really impressed with the quality of the essay I received—it was well-written, met all my requirements, and was delivered on time. The feedback in the thread was spot on, and I now consider EduBirdie one of the best essay service options out there.

That sounds like a fun birthday idea! Your kids will love the adventure. If they’re into Pokémon, you could even add some Pokémon Tools elements to the scavenger hunt for extra excitement. Random encounters or themed clues would make it even more special!

Designing a birthday scavenger hunt is one of my favorite ways to add excitement to a celebration. I enjoy crafting personalized gender reveal confetti clues that reflect inside jokes or shared memories—it makes the experience deeply meaningful. Watching the joy and anticipation build with each clue makes the planning effort absolutely worth it.
