Think your child might be gifted? Here are a few early signs they could be.
We’ve all thought it a time or two. Your kiddo reads something difficult unexpectedly, picks up a new skill with little effort, says a very adult sounding sentence…
Are they gifted?
Let’s look at a few early hints.
They have a large vocabulary. Not only does a gifted child have an exceptional vocabulary, they are learn new words easily and often. You’ll find them saying things that you wouldn’t expect them to know.
They ask a lot of questions. They are eager to understand everything. Gifted kids are not satisfied by a “because” response when asking a question. They want to know it all!
They have an exceptional memory. Gifted kids don’t just have a good memory, they have a great memory. They’ll be able to recall things in detail. Not just where they went last week, but what they were wearing and what they ate when they got there.
They like to be alone. No, they are not loners and definitely enjoy friends and company. But gifted children often like to take the time to sit and think, read, or imagine.
They don’t need much direction. When they get started on an activity or school work, they get going right away and don’t need much instruction on how to begin. They also like to do things their own way.
They learn how to read early and fast. It happens so quickly you almost don’t even know how they did it!
They love to read. Many gifted children once they learn to read, love it and often prefer to read over other activities. They read alone without being told to.
They like older children. They enjoy talking with older kids and even adults!
They are good at concentrating. They’re able to stick to a topic for unusually long periods of time. However, if the topic isn’t challenging to them they can get bored quickly.
They like to learn! It’s not a hassle to get them to engage in math problems, reading, even sitting to watch a documentary on a topic that interests them. For gifted children, learning is fun.
Of course, very kiddo has something special and great about them, whether they happen to be gifted or not. ♥

Thanks for the great ideas for gifts. My kid’s birthday is approaching and I really need to choose the right present. I am thinking about the part and I used to complete work about childhood obesity at college with the help of https://studyclerk.com/help-with-research-paperresource, so now I need more time for preparing children’s diet for celebration. It is important to have fun and take care of your health.
