One of my family’s favorite treats is a HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar with a glass of cold milk. Is there much else more exciting than a chocolate bar in your hands? I’m excited to know now, just how fresh all the ingredients really are! Like most moms, I want the best for my kiddos.
I remember as a kid getting to the pool each summer day ready to hang with my friends, hoping to get a bit of a suntan and buying a soda with a HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar. It was the highlight of my trip there. My friends and I would pick one up at the concession stand, open it and lay it in the sun, wrapper underneath, to let it melt into a gooey delicious snack. We would lick every bit of the melted chocolate, loving every minute of it. Although I at least try to keep my kids from making the enormous chocolate mess like we did, they adore the creamy taste of HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate and we don’t mind a little chocolate smear across the face.
Like anything I feed myself and my children, I want it to be made with real, simple ingredients. Did you know HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate is made with farm fresh milk? In fact, they have their chocolate factory located in the heart of Pennsylvania, within 100 miles of all the dairy farms that supply milk for HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate. When Milton Hershey built his first flagship factory in 1905, he chose Pennsylvania for this very reason. Smart guy!
The farms deliver tens of thousands of gallons of milk to the factory each day and from there it is combined with ingredients like sugar and cocoa. The sugar is made from plantations in the USA and they are committed to using 100% certified cocoa by 2020. It’s good stuff. Check out this fun video for an inside peek of the amazing process! I feel like I could sit and watch chocolate get poured all day.
I want to know exactly what my kids are eating and sometimes it’s hard to tell. When my little ones put food into their growing bodies I want to know there are no artificial flavors, preservatives or sweeteners, and I know when they eat HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate there are none. This infographic really tells the story of the farm fresh milk and how it goes from the farms to your HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar!
I love knowing the process and ingredients in the food my family and I are eating. I really love that we get an inside look and this transparency at what is going into these treats and how they are made. I wish I could see this for every food I eat! The end results of this truly magical process are happy taste buds, big smiles and maybe a just a few gooey fingers. I’m excited to share my summer chocolate traditions with my kids this year, but maybe we will try to keep from entirely melting all the chocolate before we eat it.
Either way, the delicious taste of HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate will definitely be part of our summer and every season. For more information on the farm fresh milk and simple ingredients in HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate, visit www.freshmilkchocolate.com.

I want to say that I am a real fan of handmade chocolate. Recently I bought myself an organic chocolate gift box for my birthday and immediately ate two chocolates. I got a colossal taste bliss. If you like good natural chocolate, then go to the site and buy yourself a big box of delicious chocolate or please your relatives with such a gift, for example.
