This patriotic snack mix is so easy to make and so festive!
I can’t wait for the 4th of July each year. Second to Christmas, it’s my favorite holiday by far. I love the crazy high temperatures, the sound of fireworks, the smell of sunscreen, hot dogs on the grill… I could go on and on about all the things I love about it.
Easy Patriotic Snack Mix
This festive snack mix for the 4th of July (or Memorial Day or Labor day) is my new favorite dessert to make. It’s so colorful and I just love the combination of red white and blue! Plus, it takes just a couple of minutes to put together.
When I get invited to a holiday BBQ this is my go-to recipe. I know it will get ate, it looks pretty and usually no one else has brought it. I mean, how much potato salad can one bring to a BBQ?
To make this, you’ll need the following:
- 2 cups Post Honeycomb cereal
- 1 cup pretzel snaps
- 1/2 cup Chex Muddy Buddies
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup red and blue peanut M&Ms
- 1/2 cup Brachs Red White and Blue candy corn
The directions are easy and pretty explanatory: all you need to do is pour it all into a bowl, mix it up, and serve.
The patriotic candy corn isn’t always found in stores, so if you plan to make this I suggest ordering some in advance from Amazon. If you run out of time, you can just grab another festive looking candy to put in it’s place.
Either way, everyone will love your festive treat!
