Love and Marriage

And A Baby Carriage.

Sleep deprived

mommyhood

Save

You guys, I’m so tired.  And I know all of the other mama’s are saying, “ME TOO” right now.  But seriously, what the heck do I need to do to get a good nights sleep?  I mean, on the rare occasion that I get a solid six hour block, I’m pretty excited.  But it doesn’t happen often.  I would just like to go to bed and not wake up until the alarm goes off roughly eight hours later.  Do you hear that Paityn Luella??  Is that too much to ask?

Thanks entirely to Moms On Call I have an easy bed time routine with her, one that I never had with Brady.  I thank my lucky stars that I can go put her down in bed at night and walk away and let her fall asleep.  But then she’s always back up in the middle of the night, crying and wanting a bottle and snuggle time.

Also, she is a terrible napper.  Help!

Suggestions?  Ideas?  Baby tranquilizer recommendations?

There are so many suggestions out there… I’ve tried them all! Gage just wakes up once a night (MOST nights), but it is at 4:00! I just want him to make it to my alarm at 5:15!

Seriously, I am a tired mommy too! Just wanted to let you know, you have someone right there with you!

    🙂

My son was a terrible sleeper from the beginning. He would take a few cat naps during the day and would wake up all night long. I was desperate! We did the Ferber method for 3 nights in hopes of getting him to sleep for 4 or 6 hour periods when he was 4 months old. After the 3 nights he slept 12 hours and never looked back! Once his night sleep was in place his naps started to get longer. Sleep begets sleep. I know every baby is different and it’s not for everyone, but it worked for us. Good luck! Hope some sleep is in your future!

I have no nap advice…my 14 month old STILL hates naps 🙁 He does well at night (thank HEAVENS), but we have some very long 12-13 hour days with only 30-60 minutes of naps in there! I used CIO (moderately) when I knew he was ready to go back to sleep on his own.

    Good luck!

No advice, I resorted to co-sleeping to catch more Zzzs myself. 🙂 Hang in there! I know it feels like FOREVER right now, but this will only be a short time in your life. Yeah, that never made me feel better either, but it was worth a shot. Ha!
