Everyone needs a little break from the stress of everyday life; a small moment to step away from your “normal” and focus on yourself and your family. Fitting in a big trip can be difficult to do because it can be incredibly expensive and you need to carve out several days in your schedule which is really hard sometimes. If you have a family of 5, for instance, the cost of airfare can be thousands of dollars.
Why You Need A Family Mini-Vacation
Someone is cleaning up after you. You don’t have to make the beds, sweep the floor and wipe the counters. We left to do some swimming in the indoor pool and came back to beautifully made beds, empty trash cans and fresh towels. That never happens at my house.
There are no usual distractions. No laundry sitting in the dryer, no pet to feed, no dinner to cook. You can truly focus on your family with no worries about normal household stuff. I loved waking up in the morning and walking downstairs to an enormous breakfast selection (that was included in our stay) knowing I didn’t have to cook anything; I could just sit and have breakfast with my family.
Time to focus on family. Being together on a mini vacation is the perfect reason to really focus on spending good, quality time with your family. We jumped on the bed, swam together, sat on the floor and played Go Fish, snuggled in bed and watched a movie, and just stayed connected. It was really nice.
New places for your kids to explore. Kids like to explore and mine loved wandering around the hotel. We checked out the water fountain, pushed the elevator buttons numerous times, swam in the pool, and checked out all the fun decor.
There was also an Evening Reception we got to take the kids to each night for free drinks and snacks. They thought it was so fun!
We had such a great weekend and are now convinced that Embassy Suites by HiltonTM is the perfect hotel for our family and we will be staying there again and again.
