Every Thanksgiving I make a pumpkin pie. I never actually eat the pie, but I make it because its tradition. I’m not even sure why. This year I happened to see a recipe on Pinterest that caught my eye and I decided to make it different than the usual back of the can recipe.
Then I got really ambitious and thought hey, while I’m at it, I’ll make a homemade crust, too! Which let me just say, is a very difficult task and I’m sure did not actually end up in the way it should have.
But… when I tasted my labor of love, it was delicious. And like I said, I don’t normally ever eat pumpkin pie. My mom swears its the best one she’s had and it was gobbled up quickly. I’ll be honest, I was pretty proud of myself.
