Ingredients

  • Cake Mix – We used vanilla but alternatively, Strawberry might be good, too!
  • Pie Filling – Strawberry filling is what makes this a strawberry cake! If you want to try another flavor like peach or lemon, give it a go!
  • Cream Cheese – Use the whipped cream cheese because it’s fluffier and has a better texture for this.
  • Butter – You’ll need a whole stick of melted butter.

  1. Prep – Spray your cake pan with butter or oil spray and preheat the oven.
  2. Layer – Spread the strawberry pie filling in the bottom of the pan, then add dollops of cream cheese on top.
  3. Crumble – Make a crumble by melting butter and pouring it over the cake mix, then stirring to combine.
  4. Add – Put the cake on top of the other layers.
  5. Bake – Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until it’s bubbly and brown around the edges.

You can serve this as is or with a big scoop of cold vanilla ice cream.

It’s in the oven now – I can’t wait to try this. I added blueberries to the strawberries just because we had them in the freezer. We’ll see.

I am basing my rating on how good this looks, if it’s not a 5 star I’ll be back.
